The Process of Carpet Installation

1 – Clear the Ground
(1) The ground for laying carpet is required to have a certain strength.
(2) The ground surface must be smooth, without pits, pockmarks, cracks, and keep clean. If there is oil, must use acetone or turpentine scrub clean, uneven should be pre-filled with cement mortar flat.
2 – Cut Carpet
(1) According to the size and shape of the room, use a trimming machine to cut the carpet from the long roll.
(2) Each section of carpet and length should be longer than the length of the room, and the width should be calculated by the size after cutting out the edge of the carpet. Pay attention to whether the carpet texture is laid in the same direction as the design.
3 – Nailwood Tack Strip
(1) When the carpet is fixed with wooden strips, the strips should be fixed on the ground at 1 ~ 2cm near the wall around the room.
(2) At the door, in order not to make the carpet kicked up and the edge damaged, to achieve a beautiful effect, commonly used aluminum strip fixed. After the carpet is laid, the short edge is laid down and the carpet surface is pressed firmly.
(3) The card and the laminate can be fixed on the ground with screws
4 – Joint Treatment
(1) Carpet is the back seam. The seam is the carpet turned over, so that the two seams are flat, with the line seam, brush glue, pasted with heat seam tap.
(2) Heat seam tape bonding method is that the adhesive tape is first laid according to the elastic line on the ground, the two ends are fixed, the edge of the carpet on both sides is pressed on the adhesive tape, and then the electric iron is ironed on the non-adhesive surface of the adhesive tape to melt the glue. With the movement of the electric iron, the flat shovel is rolled and flattened at the joint to make it firmly connected.
(3) Repair the uneven pile on the front of the carpet interface
5 – Trim and Clean
When the carpet is fully laid, cut off the excess with a honing knife, insert the edge into the gap between the card strip and the wall with a flat shovel, and vacuum up the dust.
